Serenity

Ok so I just finished watching Serenity, which is equivalent in time to a full-length Disney film. At times, especially in the beginning while I was waiting for the plot to unfold, I was rather impatient and felt like I was waiting. But as things got going it seemed like the action stayed high and I started to enjoy the show a lot.
I definitely appreciated the fun and excitement of Science Fiction without all of the aliens and off-the-wall plots. The drama and intensity of it all was right up my alley. The little twists kept coming, too, and they added a lot of suspense and excitement, such as the "reavers", the doctor's sister, and the revealing of the government agent on board.
My overall opinion of the show is definitely positive. I have not watched much good scifi in my day and this show is one of the best scifi productions I have seen. I think one of the main ingredients to a great show or movie is complication. Complicated plots, to me, always seem to be successful when they are well put-together. I think a great example of this is the Pirates of the Caribbean series, with many twists and turns in the action.
I do have a funny feeling about the "ambassador" on the ship, though....

  1. Hey Zach! I felt pretty much the same way about the show as you did. It took me a little while, but I did eventually get into the show.
Just one question though--- you said you had a funny feeling about the "ambassador" on the ship... which character is the ambassador? Does he work on the ship, or is he one of the passengers??
